A solar panel facade generates energy and therefore has a payback period where you write off other solutions and do not recoup them. The aesthetic addition of Solarix panels and sustainability of the facade increases the real estate value and rentability of a building.
Either 125mm (5”) or 156mm+ (6+”), mono- or poly-crystalline solar cells are available. Either glass-tedlar laminates or glass-glass laminates can be used. Glass panes used are typically fully toughened or heat strengthened dependent upon usage and the applicable national building code.
Building-Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV): BIPV systems integrate solar panels into the building envelope. They can replace conventional building materials in parts of the building envelope, such as the roof, skylights, or facades. BIPV systems not only generate electricity but also contribute to the aesthetic appeal and design of the building.
