At low energy use, the single-unit Base battery can protect an average household for 20 hours. At moderate energy use, backup duration is typically 12-14 hours. Here's how it works: Charging: Lithium ions move from the cathode to the anode, intercalating (inserting) into the anode's structure. Discharging: The process reverses, with lithium ions moving back to the cathode. This reversible intercalation process is what allows lithium-ion batteries to store and release energy efficiently.
